A Little bit about me
My name is Carole, I have an MA in Information & Library Management and worked as a Secondary School Librarian for 11 years, I also have a PGCE and was Primary School Teacher for 17 years. I am now embarking on a new adventure growing my website and seeing where it takes me. I believe passionately in the power of reading and its potential to give readers a voice, to empower, to promote kindness and empathy, to inform and to provide escapism. I was not an avid reader as a child and, having worked with a range of children and adults for over 30 years, I understand how hard it can be to discover a love of reading. I hope to entice anyone to delve into the exciting world of fiction, and discover all the delights that it holds.
What I do
I offer a range of free to download booklists for all ages and bespoke booklists for individuals, book groups, specific cohorts of students, employees or any group of readers incuding my unique and bespoke Fiction Menus. I also write 50 word reviews and monthly book recommendations. Check out the support that I can offer schools with collection management, developing a library space, and growing a R4P ethos across your school.
